Governor Brian Kemp called a special session for June 17 to redraw Georgia's congressional, state Senate, and state House maps. No draft maps have been released to the public. The session follows the Supreme Court's Louisiana v. Callais ruling, which gutted Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act and removed the legal requirement to maintain majority-Black districts.

Georgia currently has four majority-Black congressional districts. All four are at risk. A Black Voters Matter study found 191 state legislative seats across the South could be redrawn to dilute Black voting power, with Georgia among the hardest-hit states. The new maps will take effect for 2028 and lock in boundaries for the next decade.

Call Governor Kemp's office at (404) 656-1776 and demand draft maps before the session begins. No legislator should vote on maps the public has not seen.
