The Trump administration froze $65.8 million in Title X family planning grants in early 2026. Birth control, STI testing, and cancer screenings stopped for patients in 23 states. Seven states lost every Title X provider entirely. Congress had already appropriated $286 million for the program. The administration simply refused to release the money.

On top of that, the One Big Beautiful Bill blocked all federal Medicaid payments to Planned Parenthood affiliates across 39 states for one year. Nearly 50 clinics closed since the beginning of 2025. Maine Family Planning halted primary care at 18 locations. Louisiana lost both of its clinics after 40 years of operation.

Title X has been flat-funded since 2014. Adjusted for inflation, that is a 30% cut. Meanwhile, 19 million women of reproductive age live in contraceptive deserts. Tell your senators and representative to fully fund Title X and reverse the Medicaid exclusion.
