The EPA is proposing to eliminate the 2024 standards protecting Americans from unsafe levels of PFAS chemicals in drinking water, including GenX, PFHxS, PFNA, and PFBS. Worse, the agency reversed course and stopped defending those standards in a federal lawsuit brought by the chemical industry.
That is the government siding with polluters against the people it exists to protect. This letter asks Congress to push back, fight to restore PFAS protections before the courts strip them away, and demand a fully funded EPA with robust regulations.
